Well it looks like it’s official that Pontiac will be phased out by 2010. The 83 year old brand will be one for the history books. That’s sad considering that it looked like Pontiac would be making a comeback but, like many things it was too little too late. Pontiac grew in our culture through the GTO in the sixties,"Smokey and the Bandit" Trans Ams in the 70’s and 80’s and even a talking K.I.T.T. car on television.
One question I have what is to become of the Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky roadsters? It would be a shame to lose these cars as they were solid in there own right. I personally liked the Saturn Sky better with it’s aggressive styling which was kind of surprise given the average styling of the rest the lineup. So long Pontiac.
